This is one of many activities by Hanoi University of Science and Technology aimed at supporting students on their way to the lecture hall.

Prof. Le Anh Tuan, Chairman of the University Council of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, said: "This is an encouragement to help the students overcome the difficulties in front of them without disrupting their studies. The University and society are always ready to support students who have determination and a sense of responsibility on their way to success."

Mr Mai Van Chinh, a K41 alumnus and Chairman of the Alumni Golf Club of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, said the club's scholarships are intended to share the students' difficulties, helping them rise above their circumstances and strive to study well.

Confident that HUST is an ideal environment in which to build both character and talent, Mr Mai Van Chinh urged the students to rise above their circumstances and strive upward through their academic results. The success of later cohorts, he said, is always a source of pride for the University and for the generations of students before them.

During the COVID-19 outbreak, the club also donated 100 laptops to students in difficult circumstances.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr Pham Thanh Huyen, Head of the Student Affairs Office at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, in recent years many successful HUST alumni have returned to the University to present scholarships supporting outstanding students or students overcoming hardship.
